Seems legit. I also drink coffee when I'm having anxiety issues and it tends to stop the negative spirals and let me actually do work. But yeah, it does keep one up if it's late. :T My insomnia makes it challenging, and I try to drink tea to calm me down when it's late instead.

I wonder if the coffee works for anxiety like Ritalin does for ADHD sometimes.

I believe stimulants in general have a paroxysmal effect on people with ADHD so yes!

Mmmmm. Caffeine.

I keep hoarding my eggs cause I like to look at them I have a real rainbow going now. I lost my only real blue layer and not green so her last two eggs are in this mix. I’ll add some more after we move.

also what is up with young broodies? I’m on my third broody this year at 6-7 months old. 😳

@aart is there a stage two for broody that won’t break? Or just longer in the cage? I don’t have a problem yet I’m just prepping to break all these girls.
Well, after the initial 48 hours, and you let her out and hour before roost time and she goes to nest instead of roost, I'd do another 48 hours....if that doesn't work leave her in the crate 72 hours.
Couple things that might help is to change the location of the crate.
Once had a serial broody, had trouble breaking her, but it was hot as hell out so had to move crate out of coop and move it twice a day to shade, think the change of scenery helped break her. Tho she kept going broody(7 times) so I gave her away, and she never went broody again.

Today has gone terrible as well.
First our neighbor was arguing with his wife because she had a weapon.
Then I fell into a deep hole that our dogs dug.
And now I see that the duck eggs are stuck in Florida right now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do if they arrive late and our broody hen decides to stop being broody because we don't have an incubator.
