So I was right about our ducks laying again after a short break. I found one in the nesting box and if the color hadn't been what it was, I would have assumed it was a chicken egg. Not sure who laid it because it was small. I don't want to assume it was Duchess even though her eggs are smaller than Kaeda's eggs.

Nice. My duck hen lays small white eggs. She is a Cayuga and has never laid eggs with even a little black or grey pigment, as she should. Do you ducks lay eggs randomly? My hen walks up to me and pops out an egg and walks off. My chicken hens prepare an hour or more before, find the perfect nest and then sit in it long before they lay an egg.

When they were laying the past few weeks before the short break last week, they were laying in the nesting boxes. It was really weird to me that they were doing that considering they're ducks and usually ducks just pop them out wherever

Are there any other LGBT folks on this site? I tried to make a thread a few years ago but it got removed. I think it would be cool to have a little community on here!

My roomates and I are all queer women and we keep a few bantams. We're all just moving out away from our parents' places recently and I think we have major domesticity points for having chickens.
