LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I don't watch queer things (bc of my family) but I do read a lot of queer books. haven't come across good ones in a while though. It's nice to see that most books now have at least 1 LGBTQ+ character in them, whether it's the main or secondary character
I highly recommend these books by Molly Knox Ostertag! (If you’re into graphic novels)

“In this family, the boys are supposed to be shapeshifters not witches, but Aster and Ariel are defying gender conventions in this supernatural series.”

and her newest book:

“This sweet graphic novel follows Morgan, a 15-year-old girl living on a small island in Canada, who one day meets a mysterious selkie named Keltie. At first, Morgan is annoyed by Keltie, but as they spend more time together, she realizes her feelings may be stronger than she anticipated. This charming sapphic coming-of-age story is sure to pull at some heartstrings.”

Hello everybody!

I try and dress gender neutral. No dresses, no skirts, nothing overly feminine (florals, etc). I usually wear graphic tee's (my marching band & my wrestling t-shirt being my favorite), and either joggers or athletic shorts!

And OFC my favorite ever black tennis shoes
Aloha!
since some people are talking about what they like to wear, I figured that I could share!
I normally wear farm clothes at home (overalls, boot~cut jeans, graphic tees and occasionally board shorts when it gets hot.) My comfy clothes consist of hoodies, sweatpants, and hats with cool designs, and when i go out I normally wear loose, black or blue jeans with a sweater or flannel. I like over-sized hoodies, even when it is scalding out. I am weird like that. :lau
I have a dress for special occasions, but last time I wore it, I felt pretty uncomfortable so I doubt it will come out of the closet again.
most of my martial arts are done in camo leggings, and i wear leggings at night in place of pajama pants.
boots are my jam, mud boots, and hiking boots.
Mahalo for reading, and I hope that everyone has a spectacular day!
I am enjoying hearing about all of your fashion tastes!

I’m happy to see this thread reopen.

I have struggled being gay throughout my childhood. It not easy of myself growing up. With a mother deeply rooted in Christianity and Korean society frowns upon homosexuality. It was personally hard and depressing to live two lives in one body under my mom roof. Still is.
I was once that young boy who didn’t like spider man, power rangers. I never wanted to be like them either. I wanted to be Sailor Moon! Lol

I wish I could tell my mom I don’t want it be a man of my own household. I want someone who can protect me and my soulmate while I am invincible of my own life and career. I have no desire to have my own set of family either. I know my mom deep down understands she never have any grandchildren out of me. Ever. But outside she pretends I will be out that phase. Nope. But I have to accept as well my mom couldn’t accept me being gay.
You're a brave person. Live however you want to.

Also, homosexuality existed in East Asia before Christianity arrived there. For examples there were many kings in Silla and Goryeo that had male partners. The warriors called Hwarang were also known to be homosexual. Homosexual relationships were okay until Japanese occupation in 1912. I know Koreans have pride in their culture and history, tell your mom just because the Japanese said it's not okay doesn't mean she has to still live in that era. Japanese rule over Korea has been over for 70+ years, time to move on. I think it's time to give your mom a history lesson on Korea lol.

ok since people are sharing how they dress i guess i’ll do it too: i dress exactly like billie eilish. not on purpose, i’m just really insecure 😀
I feel you. I prefer baggier things like sweatshirts. It's harder to be comfortable in the summer since I can't wear those things.
