I am reading a great book on pronouns! I'll share some thoughts from it as I read more.

So far...

English needs a word for singular, non-specific gender. (The first chapter is "The missing word.") It looks like they/their/them is the frontrunner, though; some of the others I had never heard or seen before. Ip, Ze, Hir, Thon, and a few more. Anyone seen or heard those?

Does anyone use Mx. (pronounced "mix") for a personal title? I'd never heard or seen that before either.

"He" meaning either he or she ran into a lot of pushback over 100 years ago, I found out. When reading laws, "he" meant both, otherwise women would escape punishment for crimes. BUT, when it came to voting or holding office! Aha! Nope, it only meant men! Well, you can't have it both ways now, can you?
Tbh I’m really anything other then she/her, I get really upset when I go by birth gender but anything other then that is fine, I just tell people I’m bigender but I really haven’t figured which feels more right, ya know?

Well, what is the title?
What's Your Pronoun? Beyond He and She, by Dennis Baron.
Xe in place of they, xer in place of them
I have never heard either of these. Is it regional, or maybe something you'd hear in big cities? (I'm waaaay out in the boonies.)

I think it would be GREAT if English could settle on a non-specific, singular gender word. I'm totally fine with they/them, if that's what becomes the norm. It would just make it easier if there were a different word. And grammarians could untie their undies.

How is this pronounced?

Ok so glass is really hot and liquidy when you shape it, but if you cool it down too quickly it breaks from the temperature change. An annealer is a machine that is the same temperature as the glass. You put the glass in it and it slowly lowers the temperature to room temperature so the glass stays intact
