Also my mom thought our baby chicks sleep with their heads hanging low like that. I had to explain that it was because they wanted to see who came into their coop

I have some sad news.
I went out to check on the birds since I had slept in and found that Runt seems to have passed away during the night since they were still in the nesting box. Pebbles is freaking out and still calling out for them.
Runt looked like they fell asleep and just never woke up again.

I knew it would happen sooner or later but I'm still upset. Runt made it to 4 weeks old and 1 day before passing.
I did hope they would survive until at least adulthood as their siblings were in their new home and there was plenty more food for them to eat.

I did measure, one girl is 3 between f and f and 3 between f and g and the other is 2 for each but she’s smaller. Both their vents look like they’re laying too

They were indeed both laying. They just happened to lay when the other was taking a break day Only know because I got 2 eggs today. And looking at the eggs, the difference is pretty clear

Fleur’s eggs are bigger and lighter then Cleopatra’s eggs, which also usually have speckles

They were indeed both laying. They just happened to lay when the other was taking a break day Only know because I got 2 eggs today. And looking at the eggs, the difference is pretty clear
