LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I'm not calling your existence "controversial", and I know the thread isn't supposed to be political. I just worry about people potentially putting themselves in a position to get attacked, and I don't want anyone to get attacked for this, on either side. I just feel like it causes divisions among some people, and if it is left unsaid, we can all just mutually agree to disagree and these discussions won't come up.
That's called victim blaming, intentional or not.
We don't particularly care if people don't like us and it isn't your job to "protect" us by hiding us. We're here because we want to be. We aren't attacking anyone. We've been attacked, and like with everything else, mods deal with it to keep this a safe space. So respectfully, no, we don't need to leave this thread "unspoken".

Again, I'm not accusing you of anything, but I need to explain it because you clearly misunderstood what this thread is about

This thread has been active for 778 pages and over 3 years.

Like Cafe thread, the garden thread, the motorsports thread, we chat about "stuff." Some of it is chicken related (or garden or motorsport or other topic) and some of it isn't.

But sometimes LGBTQIA+ people want to chat with other LGBTQIA+ people about what is going on in their life, in a place where they feel safe. They don't want to leave it unsaid, they need to talk about it. For some, this may be the ONLY place they can do that.

I feel like a bunch of people on BYC are truly my friends, and I would like to "be there" for them, should they need an ear, or a shoulder.

Oh yeah, them teenage roosters. They can be a handfull

Well I don't think it was only an age issue, since I've had younger birds do way less damage, rather it probably was an issue of size difference, and the fact that she was the only hen in with him. Mostly size though since the place of the wound indicates that it was most likely from a slip up when mounting

ouch

Depends, I'm guessing at a large enough pride they might. But I'm not too sure. It's definitely a really pretty flag
Ours is quite a big parade/celebration. We have a big space that end up full of music and bright colours... but I've only ever seen from a distance. I was a child when I saw it, and I wasn't allowed to get a close look.
