Brahma wouldn't do well in the heat either, I don't think. I'd like to get some, but they take a while to get to mature weight.

I'd send you OEGB eggs, but they probably wouldn't make it and even if they did you have no way of hatching them!

Well all this new breed talk is based on the fact that either of the Disney girls go broody, because all these sellers don't do anything but hatching eggs. But I think by the time your OEGB eggs came from Canada, they'd be scrambled eggs

They definitely can use more protien, especially as chicks. The people I got mine from showed them, and they would get tins of anchovies for the male's to eat

OK. I've read somewhere that they had Malay mixed in them at some point, so that makes them even more special on my eyes. I give full on meat scraps to the aseel, so I'll just cut small portions for the bébé phoenix (if many different things fall into place at the right time and i do end up getting them)

On another note, I was greeted by this monstrosity in the 'regular' ducks' nest this morning:

It weighed in at 4.91 oz / 139 g! I feel so sorry for the poor girl that laid this!
My biggest duckling was 4 ounces exactly at 1 week 🥴
And polish are a no as well. All other breeds are welcome. My thing is mostly normal looking birds, that have one or two unique characteristics, and a good personality. That's what I'm trying to find
Speckled Sussex?

Highly unlikely. Mayday were avaliable where they were created, I'm pretty sure

Just do regular starter until they start getting all their feathers in. They need the protien for the tail feathers mainly, so they don't need them for like 6 weeks at least
