LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

A few updates from me. First of all, I got home a half hour ago! I enjoyed the trip a lot. Not sure if I mentioned but the group I went with was from my church. We were mostly on this trip for summer fun and to relax a bit but we also got a chance to connect with god a bit as well.

I just went outside to check on the flock and found that mama hen lost her chick. She's still trying to "help" the other broody incubate the single duck egg. I'll be waiting until next Saturday to buy a few babies to split between the two.

I brought home salt water taffy from Seaside Candyman. I paid $17.99 for a little over 2lbs of taffy that I picked out. I was excited to try the blood orange one and it tasted so good!!

You need to make time for more sleep! :hugsLack of sleep definitely messes with not only your body but your head as well. I am always at battle with anxiety and depression, if I don't get my sleep, life can look pretty dark. So yes, make a sleep schedule and stick to it!
I've read that during sleep is when the brain "cleans" itself too. Studies are showing that chronic lack of sleep can lead to increased risk of dementia.

The older I get, the more I realize that my health is my wealth. If it goes, I cannot buy it back for love nor money.

Yes, during REM sleep, waste and toxins are removed from the tissues surrounding the cells in the brain, so it's super important to get long deep sleeps. I am no spring chicken either, ;) and feeling good becomes more valuable as we age. I definitely don't need to get anymore "brainless" than I already am, so lots of sleep is needed! :gig
