It depends on the hen. Some through more males than others and some throw more females, just like human males do. I used to have a hen that consistently had very heavy female clutches

I just went down to the coops for 2minutes tops. Cruella was out again, but she went in by herself. It seems that she leaves the nest this time of the day. Thankfully she went back in by herself today. So I guess the scientific term for that is she's de-blonding
