Hmm... Interesting. I guess no conversation then? I don't think my disability is a sensitive subject, but it is a sensitive subject for some other autistics.

Feel free to message me if you'd like someone to talk to. I have a 19 year-old son who is profoundly affected by autism, so I have been orbiting that world for a long time.

I will. I did see the Good Doctor in a Doctor Mike video. It misrepresents autistic people like me as geniuses.

Doesn't it say that he has savant syndrome (might be missing the right word) though? I know he does deal with an autistic patient in one of the episodes that isn't like him.

Nothing like being in the checkout line at the store with a bunch of people behind you and your card keeps declining even though you do have money
I had to use the card DoorDash gave me that also have money just to buy my stuff and leave.

I was only at the store this early because my dad's flight lands soon and I wanted to make some breakfast for after my older brother picks him up.
It was quite embarrassing considering most of the other people behind me were old people and they didn't look too happy waiting so long to get through

The best thing you can do is ignore people like this. Everyone has had issues at the checkout, I'm sure all those folks behind you have too. Don't let them ruffle your feathers, they need to be patient.
