LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I stopped being embarrassed by my card being declined. I just thwomp the reader with my palm and start calling it names. 😂
Yep, it definitely pipes down all those irritated people waiting in line.

Hi, Kaiju! :frow

Welcome to the thread! So glad you're here. 💕

Do you have pics of your ducks? I don't have any ducks, but I think they're so cute!

Thanks so much for the welcome!!
I'll try and attach some pics :)

@Kaiju Hello and welcome to the thread! I totally get the anxiety disorder, :hugs I've been a mess since the day I was born! :D Anxiety was what drove me to recently retire from working, I went to work one day, had a panic attack and decided I'd worked long enough over my days. :gig

Coturnix quail are a fun breed to keep, you can reproduce them SO fast! Hopefully you can one day keep them again!

Thanks also for the welcome! 💜
I am sorry you went through that but I hope retirement is treating you well! I don't miss trying to force myself to work, but I do still sometimes get in the negative mindset of feeling "useless" for not earning much money myself.

I hope so too! I am tentatively looking at next year, but it might not be the right time yet... who knows, but I'll have them again eventually! They are wonderful lil guys, very easy keepers and grow so fast. Love em.

Anyway, here's some ducky pics
Some are questionable in quality lol, but hopefully still enjoyable. Bonus last year's duckling pics, cuz who can resist. Last 2 are titled "Peachy, confused by the pool not being instantly refilled for her".
I hope it's ok to spam this many actually 😅

If we are in the Walmart I used to work in, then I tend to pick and choose the register I go to carefully (always assuming, of course, that I would rather deal with an overworked cashier rather than just doing my own checkout), according to which belts I know are broken, and which readers tend to have the biggest hissy fits. Register 2 has the broken belt, and registers 6, 7, and 3 tend to have the worst readers. Register 4 is almost always perfect, as the register is the only one that runs the entire time the store is open, so management actually takes care of it.

It definitely helps to have worked there and know which register to go to! :D Do you find it strange to go back into Walmart having worked there? I worked for The Family Dollar for 2 years in the town here, after I quit, (and I gave notice and left on good terms), I just couldn't go back in there to shop! I think it was 3 years later I finally got brave and went back in, I just felt to weird.
