A$$hole still lives up to her name, and the other 4, especially Moose, are skittish, but Loony Luna let's me pet her more often than not, and Pebbles, the other chocolate gives me the sweetest looks and coos.
I've actually found that my males are better than my females as to friendliness. Although even at brooding time, I've been able to check on eggs and gently handle the girls or babies without being attacked (unlike the experience of many others).

Moose has always been a big baby. Being out with the malard derived ones probably doesn't help since they'd sooner crash off a cliff than be looked at by a person.

He's just too big to be penned right with his girls now when the stalls don't have an outside section.

Okay, dog experts I need your opinions!

I'm hoping to get a dog next year some point, for a few reasons. From supporting my mental health when I'm alone much of the week- to getting me out of the house, and making me feel a little safer. I'll be moving to a completely new area soon and so this is something important to me.

Now, here's the thing, I will be taking my current dog with me- Sadie. My other dog Storm, I have painfully decided to leave with my parents as she and Sadie don't make a perfect pair and I want Sadie to live out her remaining years the best way possible. With lots of toys and treats, which she can't have around Storm because she has issues. Long story. Storm is also not great around my rabbit or ducks, so I'd like to have a pooch who can be desensitised at a young age.

So I need a dog which will both be loyal, protective, good with other dogs.
And an upside is an energetic dog which will enjoy long walks and runs. (I'm experienced with large, difficult to groom, energetic dogs, so I'm not phased by much).

Any ideas?
Also hi all I've not been on this thread for a while.... again
