She looks so happy too, she's a good mom!

And you did great getting them out of that cave! 😊

The credit all goes to Cruella! I just moved them down. The babies just kept coming, amd coming! I have no idea where she fit them all🤣. She really does look happy, motherhood makes her very happy I think🥰

Yes, Cruella did AMAZING! This time she did everything on her own, and she was very successful! 14 out of 15 eggs hatched and are doing great!

Wow, how did she fit all those eggs and babies under her! 😲 That is a fabulous hatch rate, she's a wonderful broody and a great mom!! You must have been shocked as you were reaching in gathering babies....4, 5, 6, 7, 8.....

Well done Cruella!! 👏 :love

I was! Rangled up 9, thought to myself "oof, that's quite a lot!", lifted up Cruella, and FIVE MORE! I love Cruella so much

She definitely does! She's given the bug to Ursula too it seems. Lady Gaga seems quite pleased as well. A little confused, but he's treating the babies well. And he's not even 6 months old!
I think broodiness is contagious, love it! And a hard core broody never stops, they go broody all year long. I have found broodies tend to live longer lives because they don't lay as many eggs as the standard hen, (laying is draining to their bodies) Some of my oldest broodies made it to 13 years of age. You are going to be up to your armpits in chicks! That's fabulous that Lady Gaga is being gentle with them, he too will learn how to be a good dad as he ages.

I really hope Cruella lives that long! I love this bird a lot, and up till now the breeds I've had are not know for making it past 4 years old. I'm honestly impressed by Lady Gaga. He's so young, but he's acting more mature than my 1 and a half year old. With this rate, he'll be one of those roosters who sit on nests while their hens have gone out to feed!

She's a mix breed? My barn yard mutts tend to live quite long, especially the broodies. So hopefully she goes a long time. 😊 I've had some roos become very maternal, following hens around, standing guard as the hens brood eggs, and yes, some set on eggs too! It's heart warming to see these sensitive males. :love
