I will! I shouldn't really be looking to purchase them now, since it's their dormancy period. But, it's their dormancy period, so it's like having half of a new plant to care for🤣
Oh so they go dormant?! Is this because in the natural world bugs would not be so prevalent this time of year? Would they ship better being dormant? 🤔 Now I want Pitcher plants too.

That, coupled with the freezing temperatures of the winter. Nepenthes, their tropical pitcher plant counterparts don't go through dormancy. Cool plants, right?!

Oh my! So many different ones! I'd need to wait for the plant expo to get that kind of variety here! You should definitely get something🤭!
I am going to do some research on keeping these plants, I can keep succulents alive but I'm not sure about regular plants! But these sound like something I might like, I'll probably wait until spring though, it might be too cold to ship now.

When is your plant expo? I can't wait to see what you bring home! 😊

Very well could be. Definitely research! They're amazing, but temperamental plants. The expo is in May! So...quite a while to go🤣

May is a LONG way off! Yes I am going to look into these, I'll run them past you first before I order since I really don't know what I'm doing. ;)

Yup! But at least the day is long, and you can see all the beautiful plants for sale, and all the gorgeous exhibits as well!

Sounds good! I don't really know what I'm doing with carnivorous plants either, I've just heavily researched them, because I really like them. Never kept one though

I plant expo sounds fun! Id probably come home with an entire forest of plants though. :p

I was just doing some reading on Pitcher Plants, they like boggy conditions. Its pretty arid here, Id hate to kill the poor thing. And they like direct sunlight too. I need a greenhouse! :D

Not necessarily. Almost all carnivorous plants (excluding nepenthes, and maybe some others) grow around bodies of water, where bugs are plentiful. Most keepers keep their carnivorous plants in substrate high (if not 100%) in moss. They also place their pots directly in a saucer that has rain, RO, or distilled water. As for the sun, not sure how you'd go about a solution about that. I think it's going to come down to nepenthes again. I believe they require less light.

I'd totally come back with a forest. My way of combating the urge to buy every single plant, is to buy only the most special ones, or intentionally leave most of the money home🤣
