Not necessarily. Almost all carnivorous plants (excluding nepenthes, and maybe some others) grow around bodies of water, where bugs are plentiful. Most keepers keep their carnivorous plants in substrate high (if not 100%) in moss. They also place their pots directly in a saucer that has rain, RO, or distilled water. As for the sun, not sure how you'd go about a solution about that. I think it's going to come down to nepenthes again. I believe they require less light.

Putting the pot in a hanging basket to get a good tan sounds good to me! As long as they're still in water!

Knitting is definitely tighter than say crochet. You could always cut out pieces of material and stitch by hand or with a machine for facial features? Then sew this piece of face on?

Sewing might be doable. The machine terrifies me, so I won't do big things like dresses, but I'm decent at handsewing. I'll have to think about that

Don't be intimidated by a machine, they make SO many different stitches, stitches are tight and durable. You don't need to be an expert to use a machine either, they are easy to use and are useful for so many applications. I hem up curtains, fix pants, and yes, it would help you make projects!

It's mainly the speed. I have a very hard time connecting my feet to my body for speed (spinning wheels hate me too with that) and I always accidentally go way too fast as soon as I press down and it usually has to be redone a handful of times before I can get into a barely stable rhythm

Some machine brands are like that, the pedal is too sensitive. I've always used the "Brother" brand, the pedal is actually sluggish, even pushed all the way down its not that fast. Some fabric stores give classes on using machines, if you can find one of these stores, maybe take a class or two?

Not scared of, but it definitely is extremely unpleasant to be doing. I've gotten better about it being near me though. I usually trade with someone else and will mop and sweep or clean the bathroom while they vacuum

So I'm going to sketch a prototype of how i want the plushie to look and me and mom will go through her patterns to see if there's any for her knitting machine that we can tinker with.
