Don't know if it's a point as much as it is my viewpoint. I feel like too many times we (as humans) try to decide who is right and who is wrong, when we can be both right, and both wrong, and just have different viewpoints. Experiences, as well as many other things shape us, and the way we view the world. I might see culling a terribly sick bird as a form of euthanasia, while someone else as a simple butchering
I still regret it today but I would’ve had to get rid of them eventually anyways when we moved. The quail though I specifically raised them for meat but then I never ended up eating them myself though I did give some to the dog.
Everyone looks at this differently, ultimately when you are on your own, you can manage your flock as you see fit.
Well, know that you gave your birds a wonderful life, they knew they were loved by you and I am sure they are still watching over you in spirit. ❤
