My problem is finding proper pots and flat areas with enough sun that I can put my plants.
Is there a reason you don't like these pots? All of my plants are in plastic pots, and the ones in smaller pots are in "nursery" pots specifically

. They're useful for when you're bottom watering, but they don't help with releasing humidity from the bottom. I have them on a couple of my pots, but my most arid plats don't get them for this very reasonThey're saucers that go underneath to catch water that makes it through the pot's bottom holes. Right now, if I overwater, it spills out onto the table and carpetAre those the petite pots you put at the bottom? I don't like those. Is it best to water all succulents from the bottom?Yeah, OK those things. Bottom watering will fix both of those issues for you. Use those little pots to put water in, so the plant can absorb it through its roots and soil. Once it's done, remove the little pot and place some paper towels, or a folded tissue underneath to suck up the extra water. After 24 hours you should be good to go

Thanks for this info Fluffy! I have never tried bottom watering but I think I will give this a try!Sort of. In the winter, for the most arid plants, I let their soil get completely bone dry. The only way for said soil to re-moisturise if you will, is by bottom watering.
In all other cases, no; it's not a matter of being beneficial for the plant. I just find it easier, since I have more control, and it doesn't mess up the soil.
I also find it very hard to water from the top and give the plant the water it needs. Most of the time, the water drains away very fast. By bottom watering I get a small tub, fill it with water, grab a bunch of my plants that need watering, place them in there and check them again after hours, or even the next day.
It's worked the best for me
