We got our very first chicks Monday, 2/16!! We're on the Gulf Coast so warmer weather is near, and I can't wait to take them outside and play! How much longer shoud I (do I have to

It's warm here today (36) but it's raining and turning the snow to slush. If it ever gets sunny and 50 I will let them out.

Following the heat needs guidelines for baby chicks, if you should see an 80 degree day in the first two weeks after getting the chicks, you can take them out for a romp! After the second week, anything in the 70s will be plenty okay!

Us Southerners love our Steel Magnolias ladies

) have really started flapping the last couple of days. Ouiser has started perching on/in my hand and even "jumped" on top of there waterer today! She's anxious to get off the ground! Their getting a bigger brood tomorrow

We're just so excited! BYC has been AMAZING for these first-timers! SOOO much information!!
