Libraries aren't quiet places anymore?

our library is like that, there are these boys that come every day after schooland just sit on the computers and talk and swear and talk and talk and talk ugh it is so anoying and no one does anything about it I mean the talking isn't that bad but the swearing has to stop I mean seriously....jeez

And here I thought they appreciated all those "donations" I made through late fees and damaged books. Am I the only one who has "library fines" as a line item in their monthly budget?

Ok well I haven't quite made it a line item, but yeah every time we go to the library we have to make sure to have enough cash to cover our fees first or they won't let us take anything else out!!!

At our library, as long as you owe less than $10 in fines, you can still check stuff out. So I have a payment plan going on one handful of spare change at a time.

my library is extremely noisy - I think it's because it's right next to a college and they get a lot of traffic. I have a proven method to clearing/quieting a room - cough, not like your annoyed, but like you have whooping cough or the swine flu - works every time!

I was in my local library with 2 of my friends a few months back and we went into a private room to talk. Unfortunately it big glass doors and when those old bored librarian biddies saw out mouths moving they flew in a the speed of light to tell us it was no talking, 'study' room. Um...we were the only ones in the room!! And we certainly aren't rowdy teenagers.

Maybe my librarians should take a road trip through out the country giving other librarians tips on crowd control,
