So, my ladies have lice. My skin crawls and head itches just thinking about it. I have DE, I sprinkled it in their food and made them a dust bath with it. I will tear the whole coop apart tomorrow.

I want to get rid of the lice, even if it means throwing out eggs for a while. I would ideally deworm them at this time too.

What can i buy to kill the lice, and what dewormer should i buy? I want stuff that works!!

Most of the best products, such as permethrin, pyrethrins, and carbaryl (Sevin dust) are no longer available in Canada. Malathion spray can treat your coop, but do not use it on the chickens. Ivermectin Pour-on for cattle, and ivermectin oral and IV can be used to treat lice and mites. Some people use sulfur powder, wood ash, or neem oil, but you would really need to keep up with seeing that they work. You might ask someone at your local feed supply or farm store what they recommend.
