Lice again. Ugh.

Have been using DE but doesn't seem to be working -- in shavings and on birds (but haven't in about 1 month). Trying to be as green and organic as possible but think its time to bring in the big guns. Confused with all I have read here...

Sevin sounds like it works the best but reading mixed opinions on whether eggs are safe (wait 2 weeks?) Dust and then again in 10 days?

Same applies to any other flea and tick powder?

Keep using DE?

In an urban area and can't find ivermectin without perscription. Worth it?

Thanks for any and all advice!

Oh dear I know how you feel! I am also still confused even with the help that I have received here form these knowledgeable people. I got several things to treat my birds for worms and lice, mites whatever but now I am so nervous about it I havn't used anything yet!

I want mainly to treat them for lice which I am certain they have with the Ivermectin 5mg, I would go ahead with this but am worried what if they have a worm problem that I am unaware of and the treatment kills a bunch or worms and hurts my chickens. I ordered online to get the Ivermectin and you should be able to also. I would like to use the Ivermectin because it seems to be the fastest to act against the bugs. I am certain tho that you will get lots of info to help you! And also hope someone can put my mind at ease about how I can proceed with the Ivermection! Thank you all once again!
