So, I have discovered that the sneezing of a few of my chickens is caused by lice. And the lice eggs are not located on the vent as most forums will say, but actually in the beard of the chicken at the face. I have treated for several weeks with DE and pour on ivermectin. All but one chicken has lost their sneezing issue, but every single one of them still has the eggs in their beard feathers. is this just because the eggs will stay on the shafts regardless of whether or not the lice infestation is under control?
