Noticed straw coloured lice on birds. Not found eggs on feather base. Using Pestene (Active constitutes Sulfur & Rotenone) to dust birds and nest/roost area. Any other recommendations on how to remove the little critters before they become a problem.

Fossil Shell Flour (food-grade dietomecious earth) usually does the trick. It will also help get rid of internal parasites. you may want to clean out your barn REALLY well and use watered down bleach to kill any eggs from these parasites or they will keep coming back.

    Use poultry dust.

I would remove chickens, clean the coup, run, and spray the whole area with water/bleach solution. I would recommend using (poultry protector) for direct spray on your birds. It may take 2-3 times to solve the problem. You could also use poultry dust, but water/bleach and pp seems to work the best.
