Yeah - I really did do the whole DE thing. I had read about it before I even got the chicks or built the coop. I put it down every time I have cleaned the coop and I sprinkle it in the dust area and the food and the nests. I am really confused how I got them in the first place if other DE people have such good luck. Frustrating.

Also guys I have tried the DE myself and find nothing wrong with taking it myself! I have had no side effects from it whatsoever!!!!!

what about adams? That was easier for me to find. I bought adams spray. Are the eggs safe to eat? Someone also gave me some poutlry dust - can i use that AND adams?

Lice stays on the birds - - so you will treat with adams now and then retreat 7 - 10 days later for any that hatched from the first time.

MITES only visit the birds. They also love dark places in the coop NOT on the birds. So you will treat the bird like you do with lice BUT you will also have to treat the surrounding area with the poultry dust. Make sure you get the adams or dust on the perches too.

EITHER item is SAFE for the eggs. NEITHER item enters the blood stream so it does not pass onto the egg.
