Also, check around the birds neck, vent, and under side. You are looking for white/yellowish masses(eggs) on the bases of the feathers. Cut the feather off below the mass or as much as you can.
I battled lice in 2007. Finally got rid of them with Permecthrin(sp?) and Ivomec. I tried 7dust and DE for 2 months with ZERO success.
