I use the dust on the birds. The spray is for the coop. Sorry it took me so long to reply. For the dust, you use it on both birds and coop?
I used it tonight as we have it on hand, the permethrin dust is definately on the list for tomorrow though. Is it correct to go with permethrin over Elector, or are both equally effective?I wouldn't bother with this^^^

Lol, no worries, at least you did reply!I use the dust on the birds. The spray is for the coop. Sorry it took me so long to reply.
I learned from another forum member here to put the dust into an empty condiment bottle, like the plastic ketchup bottles on diner tables. Then you simply squeeze the bottle to apply the dust where you want it to go. It works pretty good. I use this method as well to dust my tomatoes. It really helps to have an assistant when dusting the birds. Also I highly advise you wear a dust mask, preferably an N95 if you can get one. You don't want to breathe in this dust!Dust it is then, as I may need a good bit!
Wanted to add that I bought 3 containers of the dust. I have yet to use one. I have only had to dust birds once. The rest went on my tomatoes and peppers!Dust it is then, as I may need a good bit! Do I sprinkle it liberally all over each bird?
I plan on doing the birds outside in the open, does the dust need to make skin contact? Or should I just coat an entire bird and let it settle in naturally? Lol, I'll need to find a bottle now, interesting idea.I learned from another forum member here to put the dust into an empty condiment bottle, like the plastic ketchup bottles on diner tables. So one dusting was all it took?? Thats fantastic! Same with the coop eggbox area? I use sand so not sure the lice can live in that.Wanted to add that I bought 3 containers of the dust. I have yet to use one. I have only had to dust birds once. The rest went on my tomatoes and peppers!![]()
