Are you saying that once treated, the meat should not be eaten?
What about their eggs? We eat and sell their eggs?

Boy - I don't go for all this deworming business - I raise my chickens so that I can have healthy eggs to eat - if I have to keep giving them chemicals I would be better off buying my eggs from a store - I can see dusting them and the coop with seven once in a great while if they have lice or mites but giving them something internally and then eating the eggs may not be the best thing to do - some say that they have been doing this for a long time and haven't died yet - well there are a lot of smokers who smoked all their lives and are still alive - that doesn't mean smoking if good for you -

Hens are better with inhaling than people. Just use a bandana over your mouth when dusting the hens. It won't hurt if you do inhale some. It's a better way to get rid of lice.

Spray the chickens (and the house) with EM·1 Microbial Inoculant and then douse them with DE or wood ashes. IT Does work, just give it a try.

Has anyone every used neem oil to get rid of lice? If so, what was the measurement of it when put with water? What ratio of oil to water?
