Lies Spread Quickly RP

Autumn smiled at his praise, then reached over and put the guitar on his lap. "Remember any songs?" she asked.
Ignacio turned red,and said "I do. I made all of them myself." He stopped himself for a second, then admitted to her what he had been keeping secret for years "My mother and father would use to play and sing it for me, and once the Vepsen killed them, then I stopped." He looked at her, ashamed to admit his feelings, but his heart was waiting to let it out for years.

Tess nodded warily at his question, and fell upon her food like a pack of hungry dogs. How good it felt, to be stuffing herself with warm, filling food, after she hadn't eaten well in weeks...
When very little remained on her plate, Tess suddenly reflected that she didn't feel so well. She wasn't used to this much food - especially not this much rich food, with the creamy potatoes, thick bread, spiced steak.

"Need to lie down?" Asked Greymane.

Autumn reached towards Ignacio. "I'm sorry," she said, blushing. She wiped hair out of her face and took the guitar back, placing it on her lap. "I shouldn't have asked you to - I really didn't know," she finished lamely. "I'm so sorry about your parents."

Tess bit her lip, and shook her head. "I'm good," she said. "Thank you for the meal."

Greymane nodded. "You looked like you needed one," he said. He got up and pulled out the rich apple crisp from the oven, all bubbly around the edges, and set it on the windowsill to cool a bit before dessert. " Looks like you will be havin' dessert later. Don't overdo yourself, it will make an excellent breakfast," he said observably.

Ignacio said "Its fine. I would actually like to play a song, if that's ok with you.."

Tess's eyes widened at the apple treat. "Thank you," she told Greymane. A pause, in which she decided to ask the old man something she had been wondering about for a while. "Are you... Are you an Ulven?" she finished roughly.

Ignacio played a song that started cheery and fast, a bouncy tune booming from the guitar, that then slowed down and turned more solemn. The song ended slowly, coming to a slow and graceful stop.

Autumn looked at him, a small smile quirking her features. "You didn't forget at all," she said softly. "I'm sorry about your parents," Autumn said again. She really was. And that song... It had seemed to illustrate, if she was correct, the happy, cheery tone of life with his parents, that soured and saddened and slowed when his parents died.
