Lies Spread Quickly RP

Tess climbed the ladder as if in a dream, barely remembering to thank Greymane. She bit her lip, surveying her seemingly vast surroundings. She decided to set her duffel on the bed, and sat next to it, hands in her lap. What should she do? She didn't want to unpack, as she was only staying the night.

Greymane milked his two cows, who were plenty happy to see him, then tucked them into the cow shed with their calves for the evening. He tossed a little grain to the chickens as he headed back inside with a gallon of milk and some cream skimmed from the tank for making fresh butter.

Autumn barked at it, pushing her nose through the strings and at the wood, making sure it was okay. She really needed to buy a case for it, so it would be protected and easier to carry, but for now, this was fine.
She whined at Ignacio, and led the way back to his hut.
Ignacio chuckled, and carried it carefully back to the hut.

Tess left her duffel where it was. Slowly, she crept down the ladder, to explore the rest of the house. Greymane seemed to add to his collection as he went - some things seemed impossibly new, others old beyond years. But every single item in his house that Tess could see had a use. An antique broom, possibly made from Greymane's own hand. A shiny new lamp, casting shadows upon the wall.
Suddenly, Tess felt nostalgic for the outdoors. No, not nostalgic - claustrophobic was the better word, she thought her breath speeding up as she thought of the walls and roof that surrounded her, cutting her off from the world.
She took shallow, short gasps, and rushed to the nearest door she could find. Before she was even off of the threshold, she fell roughly to the ground, cutting up her knees. She began to Change, letting out a swallowed scream at the worst of it.
When that was done, Tess was a wolf.

Ignacio chuckled, and carried it carefully back to the hut.

Autumn flanked Ignacio, her tail thumping against his knee. She waited for him to go inside the hut, before hiding behind some bushes and undergoing the discomforting Change again. She walked into the house as a human.
It was easier when she was a wolf, she thought. Then, there was no need to fill the time with small talk, and only feelings were conveyed, in the simplest way possible.

As he was reaching for the door, Greymane's ears perked up at the scuffling sounds just inside, and the strange muffled cry. His wolf senses heightened, and a low rumbling growl escaped his throat. He set the milk and cream down, not wanting to waste anything, as he started to change. Though it was very uncomfortable, he managed to grasp the door handle with both clawed hands to throw it open before he lost them and they became paws. His tail out straight, his head down, he could smell another wolf inside as the door opened. He growled, but the smell was very familiar. He stopped, ears perked forward with surprise at the smell.

Tess's ear perked up, catching the click of the door opening. She jumped, and began to run. She didn't think about Greymane, or her belongings left behind, or even a hot meal, supposedly waiting for her. She thought only of what was around her: Her steamy breath in the air, the sound of her paws hitting the ground, the tree in front of her, the rock behind her, the air and the sky and the world around her.
So Tess ran.

Aphoryllo was quite happy with their meeting and conversation, and smiled warmly. He replied "Same to you."
(This is the last post between Aphoryllo and Yhgiilra, right?)

"I must tend to things now, so be on your way." Yhgiilra said politely and shut the door to her home, ending the conversing.

The whirlwind young wolf bolted past Greymane, headed for the trees. She, he could smell that. The she wolf whipped through the homestead, leaving Greymane in the dust. He snorted, relaxing his stance a moment, then put his nose to the ground. If it was as he suspected, that noise had been the girl, changing. He went inside to investigate briefly, his nose confirming his suspicion as he snuffled around. He felt too old for a chase, and a run might do a wolf some good, he couldn't grudge her that, so he let her be. Who knew how long she had been in that stifling town? He stepped outside briefly, and let fly a howl, a call to let the young wolf know he was there, that he had heard her need to run and acknowledged it. He started the change back. It was time to start dinner. If she didn't decide to come back, he would go out after making dinner. He hoped the cooking smells would waft through the trees. He knew she was hungry after all.

Ignaciowas sitting down on the floor patiently, a bit excited to hear her play the guitar. He asked curiously about the guitar "Is this yours?"
