Lies Spread Quickly RP

Autumn looked at him, a small smile quirking her features. "You didn't forget at all," she said softly. "I'm sorry about your parents," Autumn said again. She really was. And that song... It had seemed to illustrate, if she was correct, the happy, cheery tone of life with his parents, that soured and saddened and slowed when his parents died.
Ignacio smiled happily. She had touched his heart; admitting his pain had been worth it. He said softly "I'm not as good as you, but thanks."

Tess's eyes widened at the apple treat. "Thank you," she told Greymane. A pause, in which she decided to ask the old man something she had been wondering about for a while. "Are you... Are you an Ulven?" she finished roughly.

Greymane sighed. " Yes, I am. My pack is dead though. I'm alone." He grabbed a wooden bowl and scooped some apple crisp in, then poured some fresh cream over the top. He looked a little ashamed.

Tess flinched at his words, sorrow and confusion and sadness rushing at her. She decided not to say anything. The old man was tough; he'd probably scoff at pity. But still...
"I'm sorry," she said, in a small voice.

" It's alright, it was my own fault. I should have been a better alpha. I failed to protect them. I pay penance for it for the rest of my life," he admitted with a faraway look. " But enough about the past. You are a guest. I would not want to burden you with an old man's folly," he said.

Tess shrugged. "I don't mind," she told him. She scraped her chair out from under the table. "May I be excused?"

Ignacio nodded, and replied "That's how it is. I suppose it does get boring at times."

Autumn nodded. She too knew what it was like living alone. Often times, she hadn't even bothered to turn back into a human. She would roam the woods for weeks as a wolf.
Autumn turned abruptly to Ignacio. "Do you think the wolf is your true form, or the man?"
