Lies Spread Quickly RP

Tess grimaced, determined not to flinch away and make Greymane's job harder.

Once the wound was washed, he blotted it dry, then carefully dabbed a bit of the greasy salve onto the clean cut. He glanced at her face to watch her expressions. He looked back at his work, beginning to wrap the clean linen around her hand.

Tess looked at Greymane nervously. She wanted to thank him for his work - but why was she so anxious? Tess watched Greymane wrap her hand, grateful that this didn't hurt.
She cleared her throat. "Thank you," she said quietly.

"Welcome," he answered, finishing up. " I'm gonna go ahead and fix breakfast now. I'm getting pretty hungry, you ready for bacon?"
He got up, dusting his knees, then put away the salve before going to the cellar to get that thick sliced bacon to go with the eggs, bread and butter, and potatoes. He hummed tunelessly at the thought of bacon.

(Hmmmmm..... I want to do something wish Ash, but I'm not sure what...)
~The exhausted she-wolf slowly wove her way back to her spacious den, head dropped and tail dragging in mortified defeat.~

Tess stood up, holding her injured hand gingerly. Her stomach growled mightily at the thought of bacon. Surely she could stay for just one more day? This man was offering her shelter, food - even medical attention. It wouldn't be sin to stay, Tess decided, just for a little while. Another day.
She would leave after one more day.

Greymane cheerfully cooked breakfast, his nose twitching excitedly with anticipation. The bacon sizzled, the eggs hissed, the potatoes browned in the skillet. He put two plates to warm in the oven.

~Ash curled up in her oak tree, eerily tired, even though it wasn't even midnight yet, by the look of the rising moon. She wrapped her thick tail around her muzzle, shifted down into the thick bed of leaves, and let herself fall off into the blissful chasm of sleep.~

Tess slowly walked towards the kitchen, drawn by the scent of Greymane's meal. She still wasn't used to so much food - it seemed her stomach was still warm and full from last night's meal. But she wouldn't object to another meal.
"Smells good," she said.

" You ready to work the field after we eat? I'll have this ready in a jiffy, an then we eat! D'ya need any caffeine b'fore we start?" Greymane was pleased for the company during work. He didn't even care if she was a good worker or not. She reminded him of his own children. An alpha was not just the leader of a pack, but a parent within the pack. He smiled.
