Life Expectancy of Quail

What is the average life expectancy of quail? Also, how many months/years do you keep hens for laying?

Coturnix can live up to 5 years, but if induced laying by artificial light they will last around 3 years.......

Egg production drops off in females after 9 months of age, males fertility drops after a year of age........



They are all tasty

It is easy to constantly replace and improve your flock when mistakes and culls taste this good

Monarc or Sam, did it get it right?

Mine live about 12 weeks, give or take a few days...

Keepers lay best the first year into the second, start to decline (in fertility and standard) after that I hear...
