My 6 week old 6 ducklings (2 Khakis, 4 Rouens) are skittish too. When theyw ere in the brooder, they would come up and nibble on my fingers and talk to me, but now that they are outside in the pen they will still talk, but don't want to come near.
I think they are TOTALLY food obsessed. If their feeder is empty, or nearly so, they will start quacking when they hear my car in the drive!
