You guys are still on my prayer list, Debi and I think of you often

You are not alone.

Thank you everyone. Ken went to ANOTHER doctor for a sleep study. This doc happened to also be a pulmonologist too. He said that Ken has the lungs of a 70 year old. He was amazed the man was upright.

So I can look at this two ways: 1) he is going downhill, or 2) He has been accompanied by that 4th person in the fire.

If you do not understand that reference, please look up King Nebukanezer in the book of Daniel. I think Daniel 3:25?

Many many prayers to you both. It takes a very strong women to smile and keep someone else going, when things are so uncertain. ;) I do hope that his lungs can start to recover some. I will look for some more information to share. It may seem impossible, but isnt everything these days?
Prayers, peace & hugs

Emphysema damage cannot be repaired, but I am a very faithful person, and God is the Great Physician.

Basal cell is relatively easy to cure as long as it hasn't been there too long.

Squamous cell can't just be scraped off. It's a dangerous cancer and needs to be caught early.

You know I'm praying for Ken.

Be sure to let us know all of the pathology results.

My chairside assistant was put in the hospital on Friday. Diagnosed with Chronic Heart Failure. Heart was twice the size it should be and is like mush. Don't know what I'll do without her. She's been by my side for 26+ years.

So while everyone is praying for Ken I hope they'll remember my assistant, Varinia.

Mahonri what sad news - I hope they can get her on something to help her heart, and that she can keep her spirits up. As far as Ken's lungs, that is actually better than I thought they would be from what you have told us, Deb. 70 is not soo bad! Lots of people who are 70 go on to live into their 90's.

As far as the growths, there are several types of squamous cell growths that vary in severity and cancerous potential. It is always a waste of time to worry about biopsies until you get the results back - if it is bad news there will be plenty of time to worry, and if not so bad you have distressed yourself for no good reason. We will all certainly continue to hope for the best for Ken!

As long as we are asking for prayers, I am in Florida right now with my boyfriend, he injured his knee working last week and I think he blew it out badly and will need surgery. If you could all pray that he will not be totally stubborn and will let me take him back home to Michigan for treatment I would really appreciate it!

I love seeing our members supporting one another! It's one of the biggest reasons I started getting involved with online communities. People from all over the world who otherwise never know or care about one-another can connect and provide support... so fantastic!!!

(no to be confused with craptastic... that's a totally different conversation)
