Life partners?

So I have 12 Bobwhite Quail. 99% positive the I have 7 hens and 5 Roos. Ive read they mate for life. Do I need to worry about the odd number? Or are they all get along you think? Thanks!

I believe captivity and available space changes things a bit and you may actually want less males as in max of 2 for that number of hens

Depending on how large your enclosure is, will determine how many birds you can run in that enclosure.
They don't necessarily mate for life, if one is taken by a predator, disease, etc...they will pair up with another mate. Most males will mate with several hens in a captive situation.
It would be best to run 2 males to the 7 hens but even that may or may not work out....the hens may not get along!
