our light brahma Stars is acting quite strange lately. There was yellowish-green, chunky discharge crused around her mouth and her crop feels quite abnormal. She is also acting strange in general. Possible impacted crop, or is it something else? Pictures coming soon.

Her crop isn't full per se, but when I felt her neck there was this hard, flat disc-like thing. It just feels weird.

Is this deadly? could it be a bacterial infection? we're going away on vacation in a few days and I don't want a pet chicken to die right before that. Help would be greatly appreciated

I don't even know if the flat area WAS her crop, but something's off.

I'm just bumping this thread so people will actually see it. I'm worried out of my mind.

more info: her posture is completely out of whack. She has something close to the classic "sick chicken" posture (not lifting her neck, etc), and she acts well only when people are observing her (smart). I've narrowed it down to either a crop issue, bacterial infection, or worms, although I'm not sure

I went out and checked on her again. The discharge is gone (although I swear it was there earlier, she was also coughing as well) and all she's doing now is just holding her neck weird unlike all the other chickens.

Here is the only image I could get. The only thing that looks wrong as of now is how she holds her neck. A few feathers are missing from directly below her beak, maybe she was in a fight?

Can you go out and feel her crop again let us know if it's full, airy, if she has smelly breath?
Look inside her beak for any obstructions, sores or canker.
If possible, cage her, place some puppy pads down or paper towels so you can get a good look at her poop (photos of the poop too please).

Examine the area under her neck, see if there's a wound.
When is the last time she laid an egg?
