hello all, i just got baby chicks the other day.

2 out of 6 of the birds are light brahma chickens. who has experience with them? i heard they are very big birds. how tall are yours? are they nice? how big are they? please answer my questions :)

thank you, eve

I don't have any but I know alot about them. They are huge but I have heard they are friendly, gentle, and great with children. They are dual purpose and the males can way up to 18 pounds though they normally weigh around 16. The females way less, around 10-14 pounds.

Hello, i just got a few of the buff brahmas yesterday. I've heard so many nice things about this breed, that they are gentle giants and great with kids and pets. I've seen people say anywhere from 24-30 inches tall. It will definitely be interested to see how much faster they grow. This little girl is so much bigger than the rest.

Our hatchery Brahmas never got that large though. We had them a long time ago, so maybe now they are bigger?
I loved our buff Brahma bantams!!!

yeah, that's what i've heard. our hatchery is a very good one, and all are accurate size.

awww, they are adorable. we have been handling them lots and lots. send me more pictures once. you have the chance!!

Our Fluffy Butt is a buff brahma and she is very friendly. She is our biggest chicken, but she lays the smallest eggs, which is very ironic! She's not huge though like what you see online and in videos. Just normal big.

xx, eve
