Light Brahma Cockerel?

Just want to make sure this big young fella is a fella.
19 weeks
Wattles started growing about a week ago
Started getting a redder comb about a week ago
Does not crow
Very tame and steers totally clear of the big girls
I think I see saddle feathers and sickle shaped feathers around the neck, but it's hard to tell with "his" coloring...feathers are roundish tipped but black markings come to a point

GAH!!!! Can someone who knows a thing or two about light Brahmas help me?

The breeder I got "him" from has tall hens that look similar, so I'm a little confused.

Your boy isn't a pure Brahma, though. He has tail barring. Lt Brahmas have black tails, solid, not barred.

He is a rooster, but not pure Light Brahma. His feathers have barring.

Well, Tom and I posted the exact same thing at the same time, LOL. What barred birds does the breeder have? Barred Rocks? Delawares?

I'm not sure...but that's good to know. I have to re-home him and I don't want to pass him on as the real deal if he's not. he is the nicest bird too.
