This breed has me so confused these “gals” are 4 mo old. One fully feathered quickly and is twice as big as the other 2 started showing red comb and wattle around 2 months the smallest is yet to get tail feathers but not red the middle sized no tail feathers yet, just getting sides of wing feathers and started showing red comb and wattles at 4 weeks including pics of the 3rd in question or “sheep” as he/she is black sheep of the group.

I wondered because as I was looking for spring chicks I came across the dark Brahma rooster so I decided to just ask. I’m going to be giving them yet another call because they say light Brahma pullet for all 3 and I knew from 4 weeks the black was boy/ not light Brahma

Light Brahmas and Dark Brahmas look totally different when they hatch also.

Yes 2 light brahmas in the second set of pics...I’m not much concerned with color...I got a Brahma cockerel from a breeder he looked much the same but is shaping up to be a handsome boy lost most of the black. But they look like pullets? But the black one cockerel? And not light Brahma?

Yes, the first one is a Dark Brahma and a cockerel. Dark Brahma pullets are a totally different pattern.

The pic with the girl has a Roo in it. Those pointy saddle and hackle (neck) feathers don't lie. If it was a girl the feathers would be fat and rounded off instead pointy and skinny.
Pullets will also have yellowish pink combs, where boys will be red red.
No I see yes the pics with my kids is the same cockerel I specifically bought him. :) I had some others that were supposed to be girls and ended up boys but they killed by a dog so I ordered 4 light Brahma chicks from someone else...big mistake....first few pics have the 3 remaining recent “pullets”
