Definitely a roo. That comb is a dead give away. Nice looking Light Brahma rooster you have there though. We're wondering if our Lola is really a Larry. S/he is currently 18 weeks old and no eggs I can be sure came from this one. No spurs I can see and hackle and neck feathers are fat and rounded, not thin and pointy. However, top tail feathers are getting longer and beginning to turn down, very large compared to the others (but first ever Brahma), kinda keeps to itself (sleeps outside the roost unless I put her/him in) and is beginning to make sounds that are different from my other six chickens. Not really crowing, just different. Comb and waddles are fairly large and bright red, but similar to three of my other chickens (Wyandotte, Sussex and Australorp) that are laying. Am I being paranoid or in denial? Can't have a rooster in town, so will need to make other arrangements if she is a he. What do you think and why. THANX!
