Light Brahma pullet or roo?

She's getting big!

I'll have to take a new photo tomorrow when it is light. I'm thrilled that someone wants to see her

. She is hard to photograph, - a very active bird.

I'm pretty sure it is a pullet. Most of the roosters started crowing now, so unless Brahmas are slow to develop, I think it must be a girl.

The
light Brahma enters the scene at 27 seconds!

I can vouch for my Light Brahma's ... VERY SLOW to maturity. Mine have not started laying yet & they are 23 weeks. I love them though.

EDIT ...
I did have some start laying at 20 weeks but I lost them.

This is my LB pullet at about six weeks. She is 13 weeks now and I'm sure she's a pullet. She has a lot of dark feathers too

JulieZ, here's an udated photo of my lone light brahma, now 9 weeks:

spikennipper: That trumpet-blowing EE is our best crower, despite his comical sound! The dark Cornish that are "crowing" make a pathetic noise, like someone groaning.

It makes me laugh every time.

Carpe DiHen: I'm glad to see that your light brahma has darker feathers too. It was one of the things that originally made me wonder if it was a rooster.

My light brahma is a character and I wish I had more brahmas now, - maybe some buff and dark ones. Really, I like all 9 breeds that I ordered. I'd love to add some blue-colored birds. I can see how people get sucked into ordering more and more chickens!
