Light Brahma question - Hen or Rooster

Hi All:

Still new to the chicken mom thing but I am pretty certain our 5 month old Light Brahma is a ROOSTER He/She has not fully crowed yet but it sounds like he/she keeps trying to. Do hens make sounds like they are trying to crow or is that definitely only a rooster trait? Is there any way I can verify for sure? It is such a beautiful bird (significantly larger than our others). I would love to keep it, but my neighbors might not be very happy with a rooster crowing at the break of dawn every day.

These are my birds but I am trying to figure iur if my Auracana is a rooster or hen. They were born on march 26th so is it too soon to tell? For obvious reasons, yes! Not crowing and no big crown yet! Help what do you think?
