I have been very interested in this post for quite awhile. At the beginning of the George/Georgina debate I posted some pictures of my chicken Dixie. Now she/he is 18 weeks. Dixie has come characteristics of rooster looking over the flock patrolling, but like it was mentioned in this thread if this is a pullet she is the head hen. I have heard NOTHING even kind of resembling a crow but she had thick legs and stand up a little straighter. I would love to hear your opinion again. Thanks!!

I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you're bird looks to be a rooster in my opinion.

Even though s/he has less comb and wattle development than mine, I am seeing some very pointy hackle and maybe saddle feathers coming in.

The bird's tail feathers look like they are just starting to curl (sickle feathers) and they have a green sheen on them.

I'm so sorry! I really feel for you, and I sincerly hope for your sake that I'm wrong.

In any case, I wish you luck with your bird! S/he is quite nice looking if I must say!

I would also expect Dixie to be a rooster, but I'm not an expert by any means.
