Light Brahmas

Can someone tell me if the comb of Light Brahmas is a pale pink color or does it eventually get redder. My 20 week pullets have very small combs and they are pink, not red. Thanks

Yes, as they mature the combs will get red. Closer to a molt, the combs may pale to a light pink or even a slight peach color.

Mine are 13.5 weeks old and their combs are already starting to turn red. They passed pink a little while back.

I find our bantam buff brahma hens regularly go between a very red comb and a pink comb. Seems to be related to some combination of diet, temperature, and general wellness.

Brahmas are slow to grow. They will eventually get red combs and wattles as they mature.
