Hello.. I hope im posting in the correct section.. I just purchased two light brahamas from a nearby feedstore.. other than their beautiful when grown, what do u all think of them?? Egg production? Temperment? Are they quiet?? I read cold hardy, which is great, since were relocating to Wyoming! I have researched some, and for the most part everyone who has them, loves them..
thanks,
adrienne. :)

I had a buff brahma and she was so sweet. I can't say much about egg production because the person selling her was getting rid of his flock because they were getting too old to lay. She sadly died last April (a lot was piling up against her (age over 4 years old and asthma which is rare in the chicken world from what I have heard/seen) She was my favourite, I hope you enjoy your new feathery friends:)

I too Love my brahma girl. She doesn't bully, nor does she get bullied, and is quiet compared to my others. She was later to lay than the austrolorps and the orps, but sooner than my americaunas and polish. I am probably getting 5 eggs a week from her.(And I do love the peacomb.) . I will definitely get more of these birds in the future. If you want a bird to eat out of your hand, the buff orps are super friendly whereas brahma girl is more behind the scenes -without being skittish like the ee's. I think you will love them.

Thank you for the replies.. i love them so far, but who doesn't love chics?

Adrienne
