I get a truckload of lightbread once a week or two. I feed to the cows and the hogs, Is it ok to feed someto the chickens to cut down the cost. It usuall is bread, cakes, honey buns, etc........................Not moldy just a day or 2 out of date

Not very nutritious. May cut down on egg production; can lead to fatty liver, shorter lifespan.

Most breads contain about 9% protein and are fine as a filler.

To figure protein percent just divide protein grams by serving size grams.
