Light in the coop

I probably should have asked sooner but I have a solar led light in the coop that turns on after it goes dark...and runs till the battery dies. Can that mess with the chickens ability to get sleep or will they sleep with the light on? Should I unplug it?

I don’t think it messes with them but they’re like people. You can sleep with a light on but you’d rather not. Our birds hate lights and ours was a red light.

Like humans, animals get better quality rest with darkness. We keep our lot completely dark during the night.
