Light Sussex: Pullet or Cockerel?

Hi Everyone,

These two are Light Sussex chicks of about 10 weeks old. I thought one was a boy and one was a girl, but I still don't quite see pointy feathers. What do you think?

Mine are 11 weeks here's the boy who towers over everyone else.

Can you get a better side pic? That would be helpful. And check the neck feathers. Usually, if they are pointy it is a boy and if they are rounded at the bottom its a girl

So far I'd say pullets. The legs aren't big, nor can I see any saddle or hackle feathers.

I'm thinking pullets so far. 10 weeks is early for hackle or saddle feathers, at this age you're looking more for comb development, thicker legs and overall stance.

My prediction is pullets, time will tell for sure. It seems like the comb and waddle would be much more red and prominent if one was cockerel.

I agree, both look like pullets to me. My LS roo was a stand out boy by that age.
