Yes, he has Blu-Kote on his comb...you'd think 1" wire would be enough to keep the roos from fighting? Apparently not! That darn Sumatra has now marred up three of my roosters' combs....he's moving to the end pen & I'm getting HARDWARE cloth to go between the runs, soon! LOL

Youre chickens are sp pretty, and i love your rooster!! How big is he? He looks freaking huge! wow.

These I bought from Paul Bradshaw last fall (Green Fire Farms). They are very sweet & ENORMOUS! It's a good thing they are such sweethearts! LOL​
 
Well, according to my hubby, the wood that is in the middle of the chicken wire (above the roo's head) is 3 feet off the ground.

Also, each hole in the chicken wire is 1" across. The Sumatra rooster in the background is about 7-8lbs.
