Like a Old Western Hanging Mob

Look, Bear Foot, I'm saying I don't believe the guy. I don't consider what he says as a fact. You are taking everything he says at face value. The lead investigator of the crime wanted Zimmerman arrested. I feel he killed the kid and then realized his error, and the story he told police accommodated for that error. Followed, chased, that's all semantics. Let's just call it stalking since he was armed. I didn't re-word the tape, maybe slightly, I didn't use profanity. And about not being scared enough to hang up, he probably didn't think he was about to be murdered. When the guy started shooting him he started screaming for help. It really baffles me people will defend such a trigger-happy, irresponsible man.

An overly paranoid man made a mistake and a kid is dead.

That is usually what happens when you fight with someone with a gun. Should they not have trials then if someone dies? Courts are for justice not revenge. I think I will let the courts decide but hopefully the prosecutors will take a better look at the evidence and not rely on popular opinion which is exactly where all this is headed... remember O.J. this is becoming a media blitz.

There is no 'fortunately' for the deceased. Plain and simple - right, wrong, or indifferent the kid is dead.

Never said nor inferred any of that. Simply stated that there is no 'fortunately' for the deceased. It is really that plain and simple.

I had a gun pulled on me before and I walked away. This kid could have done the same but he chose to fight. My guess is he had no respect. It probably went like this; "hey what are you doing here punk? kid says "**** *** man" and a fight concluded. I teach my boys to say something like this "nothing sir just passing through" Albeit I am just guessing but taking a respectful attitude like that avoids provoking a harmless situation into a bad one where a man needs to pull a gun.

Prosecutors will not take the time to unravel these type of cases because of the old adage; dead men tell no lies.

Yes it is unfortunate he is dead... for his family.

I find it hard to believe anything that is being said because so many different stories about "what happened" have come out. First Zimmerman is dragged out of the car.... next story is he was walking back to his car where he got into an altercation (instead of returning to his car) and then shot the kid, there is another version, but I can't remember (too early, need coffee)... Point is, we keep hearing all sorts of things and people call it facts. We hear about Zimmerman's bloody nose, and everyone assumes that proves that Trayvon was the instigator when we all know that sometimes a guy starts a fight and ends up biting off more than he can chew and gets the worst of it. If Zimmerman got injured after instigating an altercation, is it then okay for him to shoot the other guy? We don't know what happened, but my point is, people really need to sit back and realize there is no coherant story out there yet, and one of the people is dead and cannot give his side of it. One thing about this is to me this idea of vigilante-ism - I would not feel safer if I had neighbors doing what Zimmerman was doing. I know that I don't want to live in a country where my crazy neighbors go around accosting anyone (and possibly shooting) they don't recognize while carrying a gun - thats what cops are for. IMO

If the laws were enforced that are on the books this may have been avoided. What happened to trespassing? vagrancie? These folks that buy into these gated communities do so for a reason.

In all the "opinions" that are flying around about this and that there is one universal truth here... if the poor kid had obeyed the rules and not been in an area that was gated he would not have been in the altercation. Again it is all about respecting others. That is where learning begins.

funny how you have "opinions" in quotations.

Are other people's opinions non existent to you?

I also find it funny when you blame the kid for trespassing when you have promoted doing things that are not supported by the law when it supported your case in the past.
